Dichroic glass   *   Wire Wrapping   *    PMC

I have been painting and drawing as long as I can remember
and horses were always my love and primary subject.

I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University studying
Advertising, Marketing, Psychology and finally a BS degree
in Digital Animation and Art in 1996.  I have been freelancing
my advertising and graphic services since.

I began jewelry making as a way to keep my sanity with 3
small boys at home and no time to paint.  My father learned
wire wrapping at John C. Campbell Folk School and taught
me the basics. To my surprise, wire wrapping became a
creative outlet and allowed me to explore a new art form in
jewelry.  I have expanded my skills to include metal
fabrication, soldering, PMC (Precious Metal Clay), as well as
fusing and cutting dichoric glass.

In 2005, I was invited to teach at a bead store in Minnesota.  It
began with my sister and a few of her friends who wanted to
learn wire wrapping.  The store advertised the classes and
the week before I was to come, I had 3 classes a day for 3
days with each class averaging about 8-10 students!   At the
final count, it was 39 students and I lost my voice by the
middle of day 2!  I had a great time and it opened up a new
opportunity for teaching.  I h
ave taught at  Beadfest Atlanta,
Beadfest Philadelphia and will be at Wirefest in April.   I am
currently teaching at Bedazzled in Nashville and out of my
studio.  I offer all levels of wire wrapping and intro to PMC.

I was asked to write an article for Art Jewelry Magazine in the
2007 November Issue and am looking for more opportunities
in that avenue as well.

I continue to sell my pieces at a few shows that are close to
home.
