PRECIOUS METAL CLAY
Precious Metal Claytm  is a technology from Japan.  It comes in the
form of clay, just like you get
in the craft stores.  It can be rolled, pressed, and molded.  Basically,
the fine silver is ground
to a powder and particles of paper and water are added to form the
clay.  After the piece is
formed and dried, it is placed in a kiln and fired for about 2 hours at
1650 degrees.
The water and paper particles burn away and the fine silver powder
fuses together keeping all
the details in the clay.  The final piece is 99.9% fine silver.

PMC can be a very easy and creative medium but can also be a
challenge at the same time.
I love fine silver because it does not tarnish and it just has a
wonderful feel to it.
