I have been drawing and painting since I was in grade school. Horses were and still are my favorite subjects.
I got started with jewelry making while living in North Carolina. After my third child was born, I was searching for a creative outlet since I had no time to paint.
In Tennessee, my father, William Jackson, attended John C. Campbell Folkschool, in Brasstown, NC. He took workshops in silver smithing and wire
wrapping. During a Christmas break, I learned wire wrapping from him and began selling in small local craft shows. During this time, he expanded his wood
working shop into a studio and added soldering and lapidary equipment.
After my husband's job situation brought us back closer to my parent's home, I started working more in the studio with my dad and learning silver smithing.
We were introduced to Precious Metal Clay and dichroic glass about 6 years ago and have expanded these skills as well.
We are constantly trying new ideas and perfecting our existing skills. All of our pieces are original and one-of-a-kind. We take great pride in our
craftsmanship and the ability to create a piece of jewelry that you can't find anywhere else.
We attend about 6 art shows a year. I have taught at Beadfest Atlanta and Philadelphia. Published in Art Jewelry Magazine (Oct. 2007).
I offer lessons and workshops in my studio and at BeDazzled Bead Store in Nashville, Tennessee.
